Beth surprised me with an extra set of outfits for them and hand made flower crown (that she made the night before) to incorporate a change of scenery and more romantic look for their shoot. To me it felt like I a precious little gift that was made especially for me just so that I can photograph them beautifully. I genuinely adore styled shoots and photographing well planned beautiful settings, it is even more exciting when I have the opportunity to really connect with another creative mind that thinks just as visually as I do.

Beth and Runeshan are getting married end of April and I can honestly not wait anymore to see what their beautiful love story will entail, I can’t WAIT to photograph their wedding!

I started my business in April 2011 but have been photographing since I was 15 years old.  I have always had a passion for photography and have a flair for entrepreneurial skills. I am excited about photography in all its forms.

Working with my designer, Robyn Oosthuysen from Creatives on Click, we were inspired to tell the story behind the branding process of Judith Doubell photography.  I’d love you to take the time to read through this infographic and follow the path I have taken to strengthen my brand identity. Rain in February in Tulbagh is one of those once in a lifetime events. The beautiful couple Adriaan and Nadia had the privilege to share their gorgeous day with circumstances that will most likely not occur again. Their day was unique and breathtaking in so many ways, exactly like the love that they share for each other. Nadriaan, as we jokingly refer to them are part of my wonderful group of friends. We started out as the original 8 girls and now, 10 years later most of us are married, so this wedding was really a special one for me. I was honored to be the friend that got all the inside scoops of the entire day and having the opportunity to capture the memories as it unfolded in front of me. During the bridal portraits, both Nadia and I shared a few tears of joy (and I don’t usually cry at weddings, but all the emotions were so raw and so real)

I loved every bit of this wedding, especially all the attention to detail, the most amazing of everything is that all Nadia & Adriaan’s talented creative friends teamed up to make this day so beautiful, thanks to Anli, Iza & Madeleen, you’ve made this day a pleasure to photograph!  Make sure you check out their FB pages here:

This portrait session is probably my absolute favourite session to date. It was the first real lifestyle photography session.  There were no hectic posing in spectacular settings to create something magical. Nope, we did all of the photos in their apartment, where they are comfortable and happy. Anne’s daughter Marlena was an absolute treat and she was very quick to inform me that I have done more photos of her mom and Ronald than of her and insisted on a couple of portraits of herself.

I would love to do more of this, to me it feels like these are the type of photos that could be at an exhibition or in a book.

But for now, the breathtaking photos of Ingi & Brett, we were blessed with the most beautiful light and setting at the small holding in East London where they live! The mule absolutely made my day, it is my favourite outdoor shot, so Eastern Cape!
